The reason I bring this up is that there are a lot of people right now "Quoting" all sorts of polls giving Their candidate an edge. At exactly the same time 4 years ago, it was also a dead heat, and we all KNOW what happened after that!
Probably the same thing that will happen THIS time, Bush will win.

This year is different. I don't believe Bush stands a chance this year. After the next debates, it will become more and more apparent who people will be voting for, and we won't need polls to tell us it is so. Just look at how well Kerry did in the first one. The next debates are hardly even worth Bush showing up to. The first debate was all Bush was running on, and now without that, he is done. Don't worry Tex, there will not be a repeat of 2000. I guarantee it. IF I'm wrong I'll buy you dinner...
I have this innate feeling that there are many, many voters out there, just like me. There are many of Bush's actions, decisions, and beliefs that I disagree with. Some, very strongly. But I have a deep seated distrust of John Kerry. And I will say right now that most of this distrust is predicated on his actions during the 70's. I think that he chose the political stance he did for only ONE reason, to create a Poltical career for himself. I think that he demonstrated extreme dishonesty and faithlessness with his actions and lies in the 70's. And perusing his life since then, it appears that he has continued to mold his value system with ONLY his own personal gain in mind.

I do NOT trust this man to place the interests of the United States above his own political gain. And I am fairly certain I am part of a large crowd that feels this way. If I am right, then Kerry stands no chance whatsoever of defeating Bush. But then I could be wrong. My wife has said that I have been wrong before......but WHO believes a woman that would fall for a guy like me?!?!?! :+)

By the way. I like TexMex Mexican food! So it won't cost you much next month. What do you prefer?
It seems again, you and I will have to agree to disagree here Tex. I feel Bush's record is too much a barrier for him to climb. This became quite apparent on thursday night, and I feel will become even more apparent as the remaining weeks go by. While a lot of people are unsure of what they are going to get with Kerry, people "know" what they are getting with Bush. I for one don't think that people are ready to accept another 4 years of the same. Also, with Kerry making his stand on the issues more and more clear, I feel he is gaining back the support he lost after the RNC. These are of course my own opinions.

As for TexMEx food. I should have guessed it Tex. I love that kind of food, though if I were you, I'd make other plans...LOL
