Since I graduated from college, opportunities for women have expanded, and I'm grateful that I have benefited from that. I had to leave an organization where sexism was tolerated. The fact that I have done well in my next job makes me feel vindicated. I have advanced as far as my talents will take me, and that is the most I can ask for.

I would not have gone as far as I have if it weren't for the greater opportunities for women that would not have happened if some women hadn't agitated for them in the past - not to mention the pressures still brought to bear to wipe out the sexism that still is alive and well in some places.
