I love this post! This pretty much sums up what a lot of here who truly love America have been saying all along.

Look, America may not be perfect...no country is...but it is a great country to live in. I am so glad I was born here in America rather than anywhere else. I am glad I live here and will raise my daughter here. It could be worse. I could live in a country where I would be forced to undergo a female circumcision and have to endure doing the same to my daughter. I could live in a country where I am forced to cover myself from head to toe even in sweltering heat, and then force that same torture onto my daughter. I could have been born in a country where I was deemed so lowly a creature I was not 'allowed' to look my own husband in the eye and then watch helplessly as my daughter grew up believing she was just as lowly simply because she was born female. Or I could have been born in a country were I was not allowed to sit here at my computer and write this without fear of being put to death for my beliefs, views, and moral standpoints.

Each day I wake up I am reminded why I am so lucky to have born in America. And all of you anti-American peopel out there can never change my mind about that.
