I did a research paper on gun control, and now I am totally against banning guns. If guns are banned the only people who will be able to get their hands on firearms are criminals, I read a quote from a former mob boss who said he loves gun bans because the civilians have no way to protect themselves. A survey was conducted in a federal prison that proved that the majority of criminals are more worried about running into a armed civilian than a armed cop. When Washington D.C. enacted a ban on handguns in the 70's, up till the 80's the homicide rate rose like 200%. The assault rifle ban should expire because they are involved in less than 1% of violent crimes. Also kids playing highschool football are more likely to die playing that sport than to die from a gun shot wound. There are many more facts like these that I found all over the place that proves these anti-gun people wrong
