Freedom is something very important in the United States. It means you are free to choose. Abortion banning is a very terrible destruction of a freedom. Every single person on this Earth owns one thing, their body. And they should have control of their body to do with it whatever they want. Now if it effects any other living, breathing, person in any way, there should be a punishment.
I myself do not support abortion in the least. But I can not say others can not. After all, there are no foolproof ways to avoid pregnancy.
Sex is something to do to create life, and for pleasure. Weather it be with a boyfriend or girlfriend, or a husband or wife. Let me say a few scenarios :
A couple are happily married, but do not want children yet. They want to be just themselves for a few years then share their life with children. Also because they do not currently have the money to support a child. Now they lead a good sex life. But their protection fails to work. Both the husband and the wife both know that they would go into poverty if they had a child now, but both want one later. That is a situation of which you may need it.
(God forbid this ever happen) A girl is raped and becomes pregnant from it. She can not support a child, and barely herself. Not to consider the thought of the psychological damage it would deal to the child to know that he/she was the result of a raping.
A girl and her boyfriend lead a good life. They are both in love, and know someday they will be married. They have a good sex life, and she uses the pill. Now say the pill fails. 99% isn't full proof. The boyfriend doesn't want the mantle the responsibility of father, and the girlfriend doesn't want to bear a child unless it is with the man she marries.

In all of these scenarios, abortion may be necessary. Not saying it is, but it may. It is all about the choice of the mother. If she chooses she does not want to mantle the responsibility of a child, she should not have to. Sex is not just for making a child, but also for pleasure with one you love.
If abortion is banned, it will become a back alley operation, causing a much more risk. In no way does telling a woman that they do not have a choice of how they wish to use their body, you are moving the country back a step to the medieval ages when a woman had no choice. Not even who she married. Women are free to do what they want with their bodies, just as much as men. As long as the way they use their body does not harm another living, breathing, standing alone, human being, they should be allowed to do it. And by standing alone, I mean being able to live on its own self. Its own being able to eat, distribute energy, breath, all on its own.
To ban abortion is a crime of natural rights of all humans. It should be a choice for the woman. And to take it away, is to move the country a step back to the times long since passed.
