But see Munko - This is where I disagree, and where I am so disheartened rigt now about the future of the US, that I am seriously contemplating giving up my US citizenship to become a Canadian. Because the Masses, who do not care for Bush and his regime, simply didn't show up.

Not only that, the evangeligal religious zealots determined the future of this country. They ignored the fact that there was no WMD in Iraq. Ignored the fact that there were no ties between Saddam and 9/11. Ignored the healthcare crisis in America. The job losses that have occurred since 2000. Ignored the fact that Osama Bin Laden has not been captured. Ignored the fact that our rights are deteriorating because of the Patriot Act.

Instead, they determined the future of the very Masses that you're referring too while they were taking away the basic civil right of Gays of Lesbians.

How the hell does that happen in a country that professes to be the moral leader of the Free world?

I am more frightenned now - in fact terrified over the future of the US and this planet. This is not a case of partisanship (that's only where the line in the sand happens to be drawn), this is my reaction as a citizen of this planet. To which, I believe, the future looks very grim.

And in all fairness to the republicans, I recant my Topic to this thread, as I should have addressed my original post "To all those who voted for Bush and those who didn't vote period" - because this end result, is not all your fault. It is also the fault of the young voters who didn't bother to show up, and the Registered Dems who couldn't get off their ass to help determine the fate of their country in one of the most important elections in history.

I hope no one takes my reaction as someone upset because my candidate happened to lose the election. I wouldn't even post this reaction had this election occurred under the same atmosphere, of say, 1988. I am beside myself at this result because all I see is a very grim future for this planet, and I can't believe that people ignored that.

I appreciate those who have already posted responses to my comment and didn't make fun of my reaction and took it for what it is. I am sincerely frightened, and I know I am not alone in this sentiment.
