@PoliticallyIncorrect - It's nice, in the midst of the cacophony of "four more years," to "hear" a voice of reason. We are all going to pay for Bush's victory.

If Bush had lost because moderate republicans jumped the fence, they would have been more likely to nominate a moderate republican in 2008. They now have no need to do that. Likewise, the democrats will go to the far left flank of their party and in 2008 we will, once again, have no one to vote for.

Bush is going to replace at least three supreme court justices. The consequences of the nomination of far-right-wing-religious-zealots on this country could be terrible. Has anyone ever wondered what it was like to live under the Taliban where religious rules ran the place? Well, we could all find out in the near future.

Abortion will be made illegal. Personally, while being (barely) pro-choice, I couldn't care too much about Roe because it has always been clear to me that it was a bad decision and the right was created out thin air. But its abolition will have terrible consequnces on society (more "unwanted" children in a society that can't place the children it already has; more "drug addicted children that no one wants"; more deaths of women who resort to back-room abortions; etc.)

Have you memorized the 10 commandments? Well, you will have the oppportunity because the 10 commandments will be everywhere because the bans on religion will be a thing of the past.

Malpractice lawsuits will be severly limited and legitimate victims will be hurt and people will still be without medical coverage because the main problem with healthcare (i.e. bad doctors and the drug companies) will remain a problem.

I could go on, but I just remembered that: (1) I would never date a woman who would consider an abortion, (2) I am not gay, (3) my doctor is competant, and (4) I am past military age. So, all I can hope is that the people adversely affected by Bush's twisted vision are the same people who voted for him.
