If they reallly wanted, they could have gotten the coalition out, but they are too busy killing children and innocent civilians. I think it is irresponsible, immature and grotesque. This new trend, of blowing up, or burning civilians alive, normal people that has nothing to do with the war in Iraq, is disgusting. I also find the taking of hostages sick and lame. The Iraqi Resistance need to set a good example, or else they will never win "hearts and minds".
You're characterization of it as "Iraqi Resistance" is wrong, IMO. The majority of Iraqi's would like to see their country free. This "resistance" is coming from a combination of outsiders (al Qaeda) and the former Baathist members who had it good under Saddam Hussein AND some of the more religious radicals. So, don't make it sound like it's a "great uprising" of regular Iraqi's. It's not.
But I agree about the bombings and killings. That just proves that such terrorists don't care. They don't even try to avoid schools and school buses, etc. In fact, they are "targeted." And that's why it's more important than ever for the world to band together to get rid of this scourge.
