I'm Conservative as well
I am a conservative catholic but my conservatism dosen't come from my religion. I don't go to church every week. I don't quote from the bible when I am in a debate. With that said I believe that moral values is more then just a religious statement it is a human and spiritual statement. Granted religious people look more into it then no religious folks, but the fact is the over religions besides Christianity believe in these moral values. There are also people who don't have any religious backing who also believe in these moral issues. Jesus Christ isn'that savior to everyone who believes that abortion is a horrible practice. IMO this was a victory for true conservatism more then the religious right neo-conservastism and defiantly more then liberalism. Although the liberal media and some liberals themselves will never admit it they prefer to have there security blanket that everyone who voted for Bush is a "Holy Roller" or "Bible Thumper". Most be a weired statement for Jew's and Muslims who also believe that Abortion is wrong and are tired of hearing Bill Marh having sympathy for Islamic fascist.
