For indeed I know your husband's lineage well.. for my greatgrandfather fought in the islands campaign as a cavalryman for the Union.
And your husband's ancestry did acquit themselves well in the field of battle, for as the american forces crushed them, a leader of theirs was heard saying "I'd rather live in hell ruled by filipinos than in heaven ruled by the americans!"... but alas, bravery is not enough.
As for membership in the Republican Party... I can never join them. You may do so at your own peril. I can only say that you will be know as having kept company with the likes of TeenRepublican.
