I worked on a mac for years at my job. It was the first computer I had to work with. I don't remember it being hard to work on. I received a pc for Christmas one year and have had pc ever since. The only "down side" I ever hear for macs is the lack of variety of programs, games and the incompatibility with certain office programs that are more widely used.
