I didn't white wash anything. The point is that even though the US has the highest number of guns per capita of any country, we rank 24th over in murders per capita, well behind countries that have far fewer guns per capita.

That clearly proves that a high ratio of guns are not the problem, something that bugalugs wrongly claimed in another 'gun' thread.

hmmm...the WHO ranks the USA #1 in the world with diagnosed mental disturbances...which is considerably more due to the absence of health care and how many go untreated, etc. Interesting that the world's craziest people have stockpiles of guns...then again, it seems to be a common thing about every 6 months to hear of yet another random, mass shooting in the usa...in order to keep your guns, these inccidents and victims are obviously "acceptable".

in case you havent seen the recent statistics...on that particular list America has moved up to 21st. for deaths by guns (not just murder) America ranks 4th.

stick to the issue and stop using whatever statistic you can remotely connect to give credence to your opinion. the actual statistic you want doesnt really support your position, so no wonder you ignored it.

Guns do not kill people, only people do! And people already killed each other long long long before the first gun was invented, and people still kill each other even without guns!

It's the old question, who controls the controller? In case only one side is armed, the controller, the people are defenseless against tyranny. Dictators in always always, as far as possible, first disarmed their subjects before they shower their real face and that for good reason! An armed population is a good reminder for the people in power no to go to far! In Europe "our" leaders don't give a (*)(*)(*)(*) about what the people think and why should they? The founders of America were smart and well aware of the fact that an armed population constitutes the last defense against tyranny! Hitler, Stalin, they all disarmed the population before it became ugly!
