The automakers do not deserve a bailout. Let's see, we had an energy crisis in the 70's. They have had 3 decades to make energy efficient cars. Why should the American taxpayer bail them out for their failures. Toyota is estimating profit of 5.6 billion this year. Clearly it is possible to make money making cars. Let them fail.
