At Chanctonbury Ring on the Souths Down in the south of England, about half an hour away from me, there is a ring of trees.

Apparently, if you run backwards around the ring of trees seven times at midnight on Midsummer's Eve, the Devil will appear and offer you a bowl of porridge. If you accept, he will take your soul in exchange for your dearest wish.

There is some really weird folklore about Chanctonbury Ring.
