Actually, you can. Unfortunately, Murdering Innocent unborn children is perfectly legal in the United States. I just disagree with it...Thats all.

Here is the kicker though. If you murder a woman who is carrying an unborn child, you will stand trial for the murder of both her and her unborn child.

I'm so confused!!!

Default Abortions

It's not a matter of being a Christian or not. We have laws in this country. We decide what kind of country we want to be and we make laws to ensure it. For instance, we don't legalize polygamy.....we don't legalize smoking pot and other forms of drugs. Other countries do. But we don't. Even an athiest has to abide by the laws. Religion has nothing to do with it.

I don't even know that i would want to make abortions criminal. However, I do know that the federal government shouldn't be paying for them. I do know that tax dollars should not be paying for them. And i do know that partial birth abortions and later-term abortion should be banned. This is a horrible practice and there is NEVER a situation where a mother's life depends on killing her baby as it starts down the birth canal. NEVER. That "mother's health" stipulation is simply a cop-out and a rationalization to make people feel better about what they are doing.

I'm an Agnostic but I have a few Christian bibles sent down from my family and friends. The only bible I have in front of me right now is the "People's Parallel Edition" which is basically composed of both the King James Version and the New Living Translation. It has a bible verse finder and covers the abortion topic stating the verses and what the verses are about in reflection to abortion. Here they are:

God cares for the unborn (Exodus 21:22-25)
We should protect the helpless (Psalm 82:3-4)
Children are from God (Psalm 127:3)
God forms every child (Psalm 139:13-16)
God plans the future of every child (Jeremiah 1:5)

I would suspect the first is the most specific in relation to Abortion because the other four seem like they may not touch the issue of the unborn but hint around it. I haven't read alot of these verses but I guess the bible knows what it is talking about

If Christians were against murder, and atheists were not, should we still let atheists commit murder?
