for one, don't say you can't punish someone for having sex because then rape would be legal. And also, we shouldn't punish the mother for her sexual acts but we should punish the baby for her sex instead.

I would not say rape is sex. Rape is power and control. Sex is about pleasure, and rape has nothing to do with that.
Why should we punish the woman for doing something she has every right to do? Sex is not illegal, you know, and neithor is abortion, for that matter.

No but that does not take away from the fact that abortion should be illegal. Abortion should not be acceptable in society, juat as murdering another person outside the womb is not acceptable.

I am curious as to why you seem so obsessed with this one issue? Without getting personal that is, why is it so important to you that abortion stay legal?

Secondly, I don't know if you are a fan of Sharon Tate, but choosing to use her name in a forum to debate a topic which I doubt you would know what her personal views are, seems to me to be in poor taste. Especially if you consider the fact that she was eight and a half months pregnant when she was murdered.

No, you can't. But then, neither is a baby that is less than a minute old. Neither is a one-month old, or a five year old. Children are vastly different to adults - physically and emotionally. That is why there have to be specialist childrens' and babies' doctors - a whole different ball game.

In fact - a baby that is less than a minute old has not changed at all except for that one minute it was in the mother's body and the next minute it is outside the mother's body. They don't just all of a sudden become human when they're born. All they are doing is moving outside where they were.

The minute beforehand it was exactly - yes, exactly - the same as it is after it is born. Fully formed, skin, hair, eyes, bones - everything. Except you just can't see because it's behind some skin and membrane and stuff.

Is that the distinction you are trying to make?

I am so glad to see that someone else realizes that a baby coming out of the womb doesn't change it. it doesn't just physically turn into something else while it comes out. it is still just as human in the womb as when it comes out.

It is a human is the womb, and a human BEING out of the womb.
Know what else changes? It's circulatory system. It breathes. That's a pretty major change.
