Default Alaska's New Law For Abortion

This new law is stating that children 16 of age or older, can have an abortion WITHOUT PARENTS CONSENT! I think this is ridicoulus, kids that age are not mature enough to decided whether or not an abortion is the right thing. THAT SHOULD REMAIN WITH THE DECISIONS TO THE ADULTS!

Hey bud, I would suggest posting the link to an article when making a claim like this. It makes it easier for users to respond to.

Default It is a matter of choice

It is not the parents choice whether or not their kid can get an abortion because it is not their life. Parents, like governments need to back off.

Why should the kid need to reveal the pregnancy to the parents? So his parents might be embarrassed and beat the child, or disown the child. If a 16 year old gets pregnant, than its his/her business. If they are keeping it private, then theres probably a reason.

Do you actually think parents are by default the better decision makers. Clearly if they raised a child in a way which the child eventually became pregnant at 16, and the child is scared to go to them for help, than obviously they are not very good parents. I wouldn't give the parents the luxury of making further decisions which could worsen their child's life ever more.

Wow...What right does any child have in their parents home, when they are underage? Wait, I have the answer right here...NONE. So why in the world should the kid have the right to get an abortion without parents consent? Isn't that going against the parents ability to protect their own child?

Is an abortion suddenly dangerous? I really hadn't heard. I thought the danger was in the fact that the child is too frightened of their parents to let them know. Silly me.

This is an interesting one.

This may be one of those situations, like....

"If I'm old enough to get drafted, then I'm old enough to drink".

Just out of curiosity, is Alaska having a problem with teen abortions?

Beyond the abortion issue, this sort of thing shows the growth of statism in this country. Most ultra-statist regimes, like the communists and nazis, look at decisions about children as the purview of the state, not the parents. If this news is true, it's sickening, and another example of how liberals are wrecking this country inch by inch, day by day.
