It won't be. At least not in my lifetime.

What makes you think it will be overturned? Considering the majority are pro choice, do you think it's even a possibility that Roe v Wade will be overturned?

The majority isn't prochoice.

Those in power are just prochoice. But governments change.

Besides, it wouldn't matter whether or not the majority was or wasn't prochoice.

Laws have changed because the public was unhappy with a decision.

Each of the bullet points you mentioned was, at the end of the day, a scenario in which the woman did not fully consent to having sex. Coerced incest, drunken parties, etc. all come down to the legal definition of rape. Therefore, why are you equating that single case with giving women the full right to an abortion in any case?

Firstly, a woman has the right to an abortion no matter if she got drunk, failed to use contraception, or had sex with ten different guys in one night. Abortion is her right. It is not a right of the father because his body is not involved in the actual pregnancy. A man is simply a sperm donor until the child is born.

I don't necessarily agree with the laws on child support - I believe the man does get a raw deal here, but that's just the way it is. Hopefully the law will change to allow men to opt out of fatherhood in the same way women can opt out of motherhood.

And not all men are primary providers. While I am on maternity leave we will be living on my partner's income plus a LOT of money that we've saved, I'll still be working 12 hours a week and going back to work full time after six months to support my child as well. That's a blanket assertion which is not strictly accurate.
