During the serbian massacres, etc, in Kosovo during the 1990's, lots of Kosovan women were raped. Many became pregnant. But lots decided against abortions. I read this awhile back and will try to find a link. I'm not weighing in on the rape case of abortion, just offering this info.

I live in the UK, our law states that the consent of two doctors, and the foetus term is within the legal framework you may have an abortion.

There is very little interest Politically to change this, I agree with the law and a Womans right to decide.

Thankfully the UK is not consumed by religious biggots

First off all I hear you talk about is the mother. It is the child who is being MURDERED. It is not the child's fault that the mother was dirty and doesnt know who the father is, why punish the child. It ist the mother who chose to have sex, so she should take the consequences. As for rape victums, they could put the child up for addoption. Ja it isnt fair for the mother but no one said life was. In the old PRC, where having more than one child was illegle. The child was born in a hospital and the doctor was forced to stab the child in the head with a nedal, filled with flamaldahyde, if the child took one breath however it was allowed to live. Is this not Murder. Abortion is no different. Here in Deutschland we have destroyed the death penlty. In America you justify killing the evil crimminals, but how about the most innocent form of life-a child.

So you execute innocent children who are the product of rape but only imprison the rapist?

Why do the victims get a harsher sentence than the criminals?

I feel the need to add my two bits to this so bear with me.

There are many other methods than abortion to get rid of an unwanted or accidental or forced baby. One is adoption which is probably the best because it pleases everyone the baby gets a life with a family that wants it and has passed the necessary requirements to support the child and the mother isn't left with having to care for a baby she didn't want or couldn't take care of or didn't want to explain.

I believe that abortions should only be used in life or death situations in which the mothers life is genuinly at stake other than that I believe in adoption.

The old 'rape' argument is feeble and tired. I would like to see some reliable stats which show what percentage of aborted babies are the product of rape.

I'm guessing a tiny fraction of a percent.......
