So, just to get this straight (because it appears to be difficult for some to grasp) I'll give it another go with this explanation first.

Pregnancy is measured over 40 weeks. It actually lasts 38 weeks. It is measured over 40 weeks because it is not measured from the day of conception, but rather from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP).

Bearing that in mind, a pregnancy of four weeks gestation is actually (technically) only a pregnancy of two weeks. That is to say, according to doctors and health care providers it is four weeks because it is four weeks from the first day of the LMP. It is technically, however, two weeks from conception.

Right.

The PROCESS of implantation begins to occur around 5 - 10 days after conception. This is in accordance with Crusader's quote. What I am saying is that this is at three to four weeks gestation, in medical terms, counting from the first day of the LMP.

Right.

There are three stages of implantation. The FINAL stage of implantation (where the blastocyst actually is nestled in the lining of the uterus - the endometrium) occurs in the FOURTH GESTATIONAL WEEK of pregnancy, which is the same as about two weeks or around 14 days after CONCEPTION, give or take a few days.

Right.

ARE WE CLEAR NOW???

It's astonishing to me that a man who has never been pregnant will refuse to listen to a woman who IS pregnant and intimately knows every detail of pregnancy from actually going through it, and from seeing a specialist every couple of weeks for the better part of a year, and who provides links and sources and EXPERIENCE.

Not only that - the original quote provided also verifies my claims. And so what we're saying is that Crusader doesn't even believe his own sources? Also, he never quoted either ACOG or the Institute of Health. He quoted the Emergency Contraception Website which points to these sources but doesn't provide links to them. Just as unverifiable, I might point out. Claiming that his source came from ACOG or the Institute of Health, when it actually didn't, is a bit dodgy, don't you think?

Now, does the American Pregnancy Association qualify as a reliable source? I should hope so. I would hope it's a more reliable source than the Emergency Contraception Website, in any case.

Here is a link from the APA that verifies my apparently unverifiable claims: It states that `Anywhere from day 6-12 after conception, the blastocyst will imbed into the uterine lining and begin the embryonic stage' Six to twelve days after conception is the THIRD TO FOURTH WEEK OF GESTATIONAL DEVELOPMENT.

Jeesh. This is why they leave this kind of thing up to women. If anyone can provide an ACTUAL LINK from either ACOG or the National Institute of Health that disproves my claims then they are welcome to share it with me.
