I'm not sure about this. If this is the current law, I know it wasn't always like this. I remember two cases of unborn children being killed, and the accused escaped conviction because the fetus was not deemed to be a human being.

Have you found anything out about this to confirm what you say? I'll have a look around also, I may find something.

Just for those who don't know, late-term abortions involve actually giving birth to the baby, and having it die. It's not the same as a D&C, which is how they are done earlier.

If you actually have to give birth to a baby and let it die, it should not be allowed. The second you have to give birth, it's a baby, not a nonentity, and therefore should not be aborted.

A "D&C" involves using heavy suction to rip and tear the baby apart in the womb. How is that any less traumatic, unless you just don't tell the woman that is what it is!

Scott Peterson was found guilty of two counts of muder for killing Stacy and his baby still in her womb!

A D&C involves a scapel and the dismembering, and removal of the fetus.

At least that's what pro lifers will tell you.

This was a fetal homocide. Stacy intended to keep her baby, and Scott took her choice away from her. That is why he was charged.
