If you are referring to the picture that will display on your post, that is your "avatar."
the method for it is... User CP > Settings and Options > Edit Avatar

"Profile picture," will be displayed on your profile page only.

when you post your comment it shows ur username and picture but when i make a post or add a comment it dosent show my picture it only says '' paradiselove'' why is that??? i went to my settings and i dont know where to go so my pic can show up everytime i make a comment or thread

Okay, I'll do my best to help you.
Follow these steps...
User CP > Settings and Options > Edit Avatar
now, in the "custom avatar" section, check the "Use Custom Avatar"
click on "browse", chose the picture you want to display, click on it, then click "Save Changes"

Your new Avatar should display on your next post.
