Default Clarifying the mod board's stance on an oncurring series of posts.

Apparently, every crime that occurs deserves its own thread regardless of rather or not the perpetrator(s) has/have been arrested.

Can I go ahead and get a confirmation from the mods that this is where the forum wants to go?

Just curious because there are approximately 45 murders and there are thousands of violent acts committed per day in the US. That's a lot of threads but if it's so important, we would be shirking from our civil duty of shellacking the forum with these events.

“Social Security has nothing to do with the deficit. Social Security is totally funded by the payroll tax levied on employers and employees. If you reduce the outgo of Social Security, that money would not go into the General Fund to reduce the deficit, that would go into the Social Security Trust Fund. So Social Security has nothing to do with balancing the budget or lowering the deficit.” –Ronald Reagan

Yeah, one of the many things I've noticed is that any small story will be spammed to no end if it can be manipulated for political/social purposes.

Choke it to death. Just read it and move on, don't post on it. That way it will drop off the radar or all the proponents will have an orgy of agreement which is always unsatisfying.

Don't post in those threads. If you don't post, they get no replies, and so fall down the page to be forever ignored. A pointless thread doesn't even deserve a response.
