Just send three 70-year-old women, each armed only with a handbag, to the border region and they will be more than enough to send 15 muscular young men fleeing and trembling with fear, whether they are terrorists, bandits, drug-traffickers, smugglers, poachers or whoever.

The populations in First World countries such as Japan and many European nations are ageing very fast. As a result, many senior citizens have lost their jobs. In many of the countries hit by financial crises, senior citizens even risk losing their pensions.

The time may have come to recruit the awesome super grannies into the army. There is no need to waste much time and money training them. Just arm each of them with a handbag.

Well said. Look at this 87 year old vet. He was wounded during a burglary. But he survived and killed a burglar who tried to steal his orders.veteran-0002.jpg
