Default Olympics: China FAKED Fireworks! FAKED/Lip-Sync-ed Singer!

China 'faked' awesome Olympic opening ceremony
Monday, 11 August 2008

Some of the most spectacular moments of the Olympic Games opening ceremony, which was watched by three billion people, were faked, it has been revealed.

The global television audience watched as a series of giant footprints, lit up by fireworks, proceeded through the night sky from Tiananmen Square to the Bird's Nest stadium - not realising they were watching a computer-generated animation.

Even the giant television screens within the stadium itself broadcast the fake images.

The fireworks were real outside the stadium, but those shown in the stadium and on television had been filmed months in advance.

The last footprint, which was visible from the stands inside the Bird's Nest, was screened in real time.

The dupe was revealed by China's Beijing Times. Speaking to the paper, the man responsible for the animation said he was pleased with the result.

Olympic ceremony singer faked performance
By Mure Dickie in Beijing
August 12 2008
Financial Times

Lin Miaoke was quickly hailed as a budding star by China’s state media after the pig-tailed nine-year-old performed a rousing rendition of a revolutionary anthem during last Friday’s Beijing Olympics opening ceremony.

But while the smile beaming around the world may have been hers, China’s top leaders made a late intervention to make sure the voice was not.

According to the ceremony’s musical director, Chen Qigang, Miss Lin actually lip-synched “Ode to the Motherland” to the voice of another girl after the politburo decided her own singing was not good enough.

The replacement singer, however, was deemed not attractive enough to grace the world’s television screens.

“I think all China’s viewers and listeners should understand that was a matter of national interest,” Mr Chen said in an interview with Radio Beijing..."

Why are people so dumb that they refuse to acknowledge art when they see it?

Republicans are so dumbed down and confrontational after 8 years of Bush's brilliantcy.

It is astounding.

Nice to hear the soft hearted, well thought out, companionate, non-confrontational, open minded, humble opinion of one who is not a Republican.

Being a Republican, I hope my crass remarks on the subject can be taken in and digested with the foreknowledge of how dumbed down and confrontational I am thanks to "Bush's brilliantcy."

The opening ceremony also had a flying man, that today was exposed as a fraud because he can not really fly! It was a production put on for entertainment and directed by a movie guy. Anyone that was astonished by these "revelations" for more than a minute should take a breath and recognize that professional wrestling is fake too.

China put on a great opening ceremony. Very artsy in every way, yet because of this stupid US VS THEM mentallity that Bush has built into his loyal cronies everything has to be viewed as "We're better than they are".

No wonder people hate us.

I wasn't defending that guys post, I loved the opening ceremony and don't care if it was faked. But this has nothing to do with Bush.

Umm, the entire Olympics is about competition. Us -vs- them is why they seperate the teams by country and have them compete against each other.

Default More anti-Chinese propaganda

Talking about attempting to make a mountain out of an ant hill. The media will stop at nothing in its attempts to discredit the Chinese. Its getting to the point of being racist. These entire anti-Chinese slurs are sooo disproportionate. The media clearly are aware that they are tapping into belets of this world and their small-minded petty bigotries. First its the alleged human rights abuses, then its the pollution, then its an American guy is murdered by a Chinese citizen and now God forbid - yes God forbid - wait for it...... a little girl lip syncs at the opening ceremony!!! No mention in the media that China has lifted 400 million of its people out of poverty, or that the Chinese have a legal right to free education or thor that China is the fastest growing economy in the world, or that last year 4 million University students graduated in medicine, or that in the space of 6 decades China has been transformed from a backward feudal society into a highly technological and developed society.

But these are human rights that are not worth commenting on apparently by our media hating of all things Chinese. What China is no longer prepared to be is anybody's whipping boy and slave like it was in the past. China, rather than being exploited and bullied by its imperial masters in the West, is now standing up to them and managing to stand on its own two feet. The West, and bigots like Belet, are just gonna have to lump it.

Not directly. But the negative attitudes about competing countries, for whatever reason, is just eirily similar to Bush's attitude.

All you have to do is look into the athlete's faces and you can tell they don't want any part of the political competition that seems to accompany the Physical competition.

Goldendog, I just realized that both of the articles were written in the UK! You pegged it all right. Definitely, those journalists in London are huge Bush puppets.
