I agree that no broadcaster private or government should be influenced by political parties.

Whilst we have wall to wall gambling 24/7 and an over abundance of liquor,
the politicians wont do a thing about it, due to the taxes raised...the only reason
Wilkie is going on a one man crusade is that his brother has/had a serious
gambling problem...there are many different ways to stop problem gambling
but the state governments wont bite the bullet because they havent got the guts....therefore problem gambling will never go away, itll just get worse...
Im waiting for someone to stop "schoolies week" here on the GC but no-one ever
    will...............

Could you provide one single reason why you think Wilkie's pokie reforms are a bad idea?

    Just one?

This is the 5th time you have been asked now? Why is it so hard to answer?

You have implied in the OP that there is some sort of conspiracy involving the ABC and the poker machine reform proposals. Why? Isn't is just a simple fact that most people see pokie reform as a very good idea?

No conspiracy theory is necessary really. Unless you think poker machine reform is not a good idea - but you have been asked 5 times now to explain why someone would think this, but you appear incapable of answering

    Why?

Do you see conspiracy theories in everything?

Pokie reform is a good idea. Pokie reform is not an ALP initiative, but it is a good idea

You have been asked 5 times to answer a question.

So - you are saying it should NOT report on a story about problem gamblers being recruited by drug dealers?!?!?!

    Why?

    Isn't that a valid story?

Whether Wilkie's pokie reforms are a bad idea or not is not the issue. Poker machine reforms is not the issue either.
What has been proposed is that the Labor government is pandering to Wilkie purely because they want his support for other things and secondly that the ABC is running stories purely for the purpose of giving support to the Labor government so they don't look so much like they are pandering to WIlkie.
In my opinion that is exactly what is going on.

Exactly. They are not issues. They are sensible. So why are people making them issues?

Exhibit A - some Jones fan trying to make a non-issue an issue.

So - you are saying the ABC should NOT report on a story about problem gamblers being recruited by drug dealers?!?!?! Why?

How is that not a story?

You don't have opinions. That has been well established. You are just one of Jonesy's echo chambers.

This is the 6th time you have been asked now? Why is it so hard to answer?

You have implied in the OP that there is some sort of conspiracy involving the ABC and the poker machine reform proposals.

Why can't you tell us what is so bad about poker machine reform?

Why have you avoided answering a question 6 times?

Why don`t you tell us why you have no objection to public owned media (ABC) acting as a propoganda agent for the ALP?

What non-issue am I trying to Make? All I have done is paraphrase the original proposal in an effort to get people like you back onto the subject.

So - you are saying the ABC should NOT report on a story about problem gamblers being recruited by drug dealers?!?!?! Why?
Up to your old tricks again Bugsy? Putting words into other peoples mouths, deliberately misconstruing the basic premis at hand, nit picking, hair splitting and trying to lead people off topic.
But I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are just an imbecile and not someone who is inteligent enough to be sneaky and underhanded.
Nobody is saying the ABC should NOT report any particular thing. What is being questioned is the purpose and timing of the reporting.

I have never listened to Alan Jones in my life. There is no radio station that can be received where I live that broadcasts Alan Jones.
