The English do seem to try their best to write us out of existance, one way or another, but we are still here anyway!
Yes, Wales - I remember them. I think they used to play rugby.

You still hear about them sometimes, making up the numbers at the World Cup, along with Canada and Kenya.

Would that be the Wales that beat Australia in November (I was there)?

They'd also be the Wales that were 'making up the numbers' in last year's 6 nations championship by winning a grand slam.

Should Australia be a republic?

Yes.

But only if Pauline Hanson consents to run naked throughout Canberra to become our new Queen, which I understand would not be a republic, but who wants one of those?

Australia just needs a new, decadent monarch.

Why don't you want to turn Australia into a colony?

Front page of the newspapers. Gave me nightmares. I couldn't even look at it without feeling ill.

And she says it ain't her. Who knows she might be telling the truth. I think she might be.

And I beleave that we do need the higher power to stop the government from being able to have compleate control.
Also we still have many ties with britain that I would hate to see lost.

Well the governor general is a representive of the Queen.

Yes I agree if thus becomes a republic I rather have a separate position for head of state from the head of government. I'm actually have a liking to the German Parliament system as a fact. I'm speaking for New Zealand where we have adopted MMP and think it be a nature enough to adopt the German system.
