Can't find the "Prayer Request" thread that used to be around, so I'll mention it in here.

Found out tonight that my Dad is in the hospital possibly/probably close to dying.
It's a long story I just can't get into---but shortest version possible is as follows:

amber & I went to my "regular" doc on Sunday. (love that he has weekend hours!)

The nurse was the same one who was there a month ago & could see how much pain I was in, then.

She could see it again on Sunday and I just started crying, trying to describe how bad it is, what the idiot ortho docs had to say....etc...

My doc comes in and the very first words outta my mouth were:
"help me."

I feel pretty close to giving up.
Not as in killing myself giving up, I took suicide as an option off the table several years ago.

But the combination of latest health woes, combined with the apparent impossibility of any doctor I've seen so far, knowing what is wrong/what caused/is causing this stuff ----it's hard for me to see any kind of hope for improvement, any logical reason to believe I can get back the quality of life (physically) that I had, even as early back as February. ...

All righty.
So, I've been "hospital free" since May 1st. (yay!)

Resumed in home PT and had to have my "INR" (as pertains to how the blood thinner workin' in my body) several times a week, finally tapering off to where I only have to get my finger poked once a month now.
(YAY!)
In home PT folks finished up w/me and wants me to start aquatics therapy as a transition, which sounds lovely. (no sarcasm)

Bad, suckful, stupid and annoying ...

Weird, weird doings my friends, foes and errant strangers that wander by.....

*sigh*

The streak continues.

Whilst in the hospital for the dreaded, demonic DVT...I was getting shots twice a day of "lovenox" (sp?) and a daily dose of cumadin, orally.

Now, no one would actually tell me how large the blood clot was, but most nurses when coming in to give me the shot, would ask me if "this really is the dose you've been getting?" ...

[I could have sworn I typed something in here last night, and can't find it now....hmmmm Should NOT try posting after the "night night" meds]

I am back in the stupid hospital.

More details and back story later....suffice it to say at the moment, I am in the hospital as in..."in patient" for the third time in less than two months.
Reason at this exact moment is a Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) which apparently is very serious and I have ...
