Here's an idea... looking at how the whole social security thing is just a secret form of private lending for the government... how much more sense would it make to scrap that, and medicare for that matter since we all still seem to be paying the same amount of medicare out of our paychecks no matter how far back they cut the benefits, and just put a flat 15 federal income tax on everything, make sales tax a flat 7% and just roll with it from there... give the people more money to spend and just make that much more off of sales tax.
