Because California is allready maxed out on taxes! Also we are paying for the children of illegal immigrants to get an education in california as well. California is the largest liberal state in the union. And it shows!

California is beyond repair. But dont blame your school for a crappy education. The school is only the venue to get the information. Its up to you to educate yourself! No teacher can do that for you! And the ones we have are unqualified to teach anyway. So its up to you man! Reaserch and work at every subject. Educate yourself and ask the teacher to help on stuff you cant understand. But its up to you in the end!

Default teachers

I'm with the Professor on this one, however I have a different solution than some. Privatize the Administration and put the management of schools up for bid, the same could be done for janitors and groundskeepers saving a major amount on the budget that could be spent TEACHING. Isn't this the reason children go to school?

California spent $11 million to convict Scott Peterson in a case certain to be overturned. They are spending more to incarcerate him, and will spend more on his appeals. Eventually he will be released and they will then have to pay him for the years spent in prison. There's $20 million on one man, just to appease public sentiment and help a few crooked cops and lawyers get promoted.

Another man is doing 50 years for stealing $150 worth of videos from K-Mart. There are many more stories like this. As long as common sense doesn't apply, get used to it. Your money WILL be wasted.

Give every teacher a per child budget and let them hire what they need in terms of management, maintenance, food etc. Pay more for difficult cases. You'll get better teaching at lower cost.
