Default Ralph Nader web site and my opinion............

http://www.votenader.org/

I thought about this idea while DEAN was running. John Kerry to me is supported by big business just like GWBush. Also, John Kerry suspiciously earlier was getting support from the Wall Street Journal when he initially started his campaign for the WH. Just to think about it there is nothing wrong with business as long as you convince them to reform from within. Also, Kerry was in Skull&Bones and this to me suspicious also but then not all criminals come from Skull&Bones probably John Kerry is all right? Anyway, if Nader is selected as V.P. then we could reform Big Business and create more businesses out of environmental protection policy and other ideas. Also, we could also introduce and new party to shake up the two-party illusion which is anti-democratic !

Default But speaking realistically, Cristian...

what good will come of voting for Nader?

I find it funny that the people who will be most upset with Bush's re-election and are most opposed to his current policies are throwing their votes away. I guess I appeciate the idealism, but it doesn't fly. You're simply playing into the hands of the Bush admin-they love you.

Default Hold on......

I never said I would vote for Nader!

I just said it would be good idea if he was V.P. with Kerry! The orginal idea from Nader was to run to highlight the issues to the American people. I appreciate him for doing this but when voting comes......yes, I will vote for Kerry! I hope in the last minute before the elections or some times before Kerry and him would run on the same ticket but if not then ....Kerry would be the best opition just right before the election.

Default I agree w/Marybeth

Until we the people rise up and destroy the two party system currently in place we will never have any say in this government. The candidates run on the same petty things all the time every election over and over - abortion, gun control - to woo votes. But whom they work for and what they do in office has nothing to do with the lowly voters, only 4% of whom give ANY money to the candidate and/or party and/or PACS. Our politicians are owned by the 1/10th of 1% of Americans who give upwards of $50,000 - that's who they work for and that's who they answer to.

I thought it would be a good time to refresh my memory about who owns GWB so I am re-reading Jim Hightower's "If the Gods Had Meant Us to Vote They Would Have Given Us Candidates" and while part of me is glad for the info, a LOT of me is just depressed and disheartened by the whole thing because I can't see the American people rising up to take back the gov't.
It's not just apathy - it's also ignorance and lack of energy and organization and the fact that people don't make this a priority in their life.
The middle class is dying and America will be left a third world country like Iraq - the rich in power and the people living in poverty.
Remember people a "plutocracy" doesn't mean we're ruled by a far-off planet. (smirk)

Default For Oddly Odd...

Oddlycalm, nothing you have said tells us that Ralph Nader is dishonest...Nader states what he sees and I am not aware of him ever lying to the American people. Nader tells it like it is and that scares the establishment. I believe his insight would help make Kerry a better President.

I suppose Oddly thinks Bush is honest.....hahaha.

I have been watching Nader since the mid-60's, and his act never changes.
