Default Yes, you are wrong

The legislation died on the order paper when Parliament was perogued for today's election. Depending on the outcome of the vote, if it is a minority government, the legislation while not be re-introduced.
Sorry it took so long to answer your query. I've been off duty.

Default FYI

In Canada there are no plans to actually legalize Marijuana, but it is being decriminalized. Big difference. Butin many way, it pretty much already has - in fact, the number of charges for small possession has greatly reduced over the past year.

Default No.

It's mot legal, but if they did legalize it, it wouldn't be wrong at all, and I think that if everyone smoked marijuana every once in a while, the world would be unimaginably better.

Default hmm

the dangers of smoking, binge drinking and over eating are far greater than the dangers of marijuana.

Dangers of smoking;
Bronchitis
Emphysema
Lung Cancer
Heart disease
Cancer of the mouth

Dangers of drinking;
Addiction
Weight Gain
Liver damage,
Stomach cancer
Heart disease

Dangers of obesity
100% increased risk of premature death from all causes
Heart Disease
High Blood Pressure
Diabetes,
Colon cancer
Gall cancer
Bladder cancer
Prostate cancer
Kidney cancer
Postmenopausal breast cancer

In comparison, dangers of marijuana;
Addiction
Temporary loss of fertility in males
Premature/underweight babies in women
Heart Disease
Lung cancer

As you can see, there are no worse effects for cannabis use than for smoking, drinking or obesity. Research also suggests that it impairs driving ability, reduces willingness to study, dulling of the senses, and a feeling of a loss of control; however, these effects are all present in alcohol and tobacco use.

There is also the age-old 'going onto harder stuff' excuse for illegalisation. However, it is more likely that this is an effect of the social interaction that comes with purchasing illegal substances. If it was sold in an off-license or what have you, that would not be a problem.

Those who say cannabis should remain illegal, but think alcohol and tobacco should remain legal, are simply hypocrites.

Default Legalize it

every drug should be decriminalized, the government should get its tenticles off our private lives. I love magic mushrooms on a weekend when i dont have homework or work. Its mind openning!
