Hardly worthy of praise. I'd say she's a corrupt (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) in the pocket of the development industry which practically owns Mississauga (which is one giant sprawling ugly suburb).
Hazel is of course the main roadblock (and has been for decades) to any kind of needed reforms in Mississauga. She's also particularly toxic regarding regional transportation issues and one of the main reasons the GTA's regional public transit system sucks so bad - Hazel is basically against public transit.

Do I detect some Jealousy?
First of all Beauty is a matter of opinion, in the eye of the beholder as it were. I live in Mississauga, I think it is beautiful, full of greenery. Conversely I think Toronto for the most part is a dirty smelly city (especially downtown). The key part of that statement being of course "I think", I don't know whether you think Toronto is beautiful or not, but I respect your opinion anyway.
Secondly, Hazel is not against public transportation, she is for "green" transportation. She is constantly advocating bicycling and simply walking as alternative means of transportation. Yes, she has commented on the detrimental effects of carbon dioxide emission from public transportation, but not as an attack against it but rather another reason people should choose the greener modes of transportation she advocates.
Careful with the hate towards Hazel, We don't take kindly to that here in Mississauga.
