No, genius. I know all about Vancouver WA - I work there every day. I was merely pointing out to those who don't know (a LARGE majority of the planet) that there is an American Vancouver, too.

I suppose this can be a "teaching moment..."

Kids, Doug is freakishly over-sensitive about his shiny, happy city. Forewarned is forearmed.

Jeeez.

Are you going to post photos of beautiful downtown Vancouver, Washington or not?

I'm not freakishly defensive of Vancouver, just pointing out how stupid your comments were, genius:

Quote:
There are TWO Vancouvers in North America. Oddly enough, the geniuses at NEWS1130 don't directly distinguish which one Mercer is talking about.

In a comparison between the two Vancouvers, I think I prefer America's Vancouver. Canada's Vancouver is one of the ugliest cities architechturally I've ever visited. Every building looks almost identical to every other building, and the style is just hideous.

When talking about Vancouver on an international forum, one assumes Vancouver, BC; not Vancouver, WA.

Type "vancouver" in Wikipedia's search bar and Vancouver, BC loads up.

Besides, Vancouver, WA is nothing more than a suburb of Portland, OR.

Particularly one would think on the Canada branch of an international message board.

Or she could have clicked on the Mercer link and seen that it was Vancouver, Canada.

You're only proving my point, Doug. Over and over and over again.

Glinda when your points have been soundly trashed it's best not to keep typing. You can assume that advice applies to torture as well.
