Default Canada Supplies Most of US Oil?

Someone told me this bit of info one day over lunch. Is it really true? Does anyone know about it?

Default No

Canada supplies 35% of U.S. Oil, almost all of it comes from Alberta.

Mind you most Oil plants in Alberta are now owned by U.S. companies.

35% sounds right, not to mention Alberta is also said to have the largest reserves in the world.

Really, Alberta is so bloody rich they are throwing money at residents like theres no tomorrow, much to the dismay of Canadians in other provinces.

Well, still 35% is a lot.
Learn something new everyday. And I thought Labatt's was the only important resource we got from Canada (though now a lot of bars have Killians on tap).

It is the fastest growing province in Canada. The reason everyone doesen't move there is because the main industry there is oil related, if you don't have expertise in that then a job isn't assured.

Never really got around to trying Molsens. It's kind of a moot point now that one of my favorite Irish reds is on tap most places now.
But Labatts always kicked Bud and MGD's @$$!
But just so you Canadians don't get too uppity about your beer over beer from the good ol' US of A, I have two words:
Sam Adams.
