I'm not sure what to make of this. Is this really what people were asked and how they answered? Apparently 68% of those polled were over the age of 46. So maybe this skews the data, but on the other hand, older people are supposedly more likely to be faithful voters, so the potential ramifications are a bit startling.A survey conducted last month shows 46% of GOP voters in the state believe interracial marriage should be illegal - a plurality of the people questioned.
Forty percent felt mixed-race weddings should remain legal, while 14% said they were not sure in the survey conducted by Public Policy Polling of Raleigh, N.C.
Question: Should interracial marriage be illegal? Why or why not?
Question: If the power to regulate marriage is vested in the states, should individual states be able to outlaw interracial marriage? Why or why not?
Question: Do you know any interracial couples?
