I have my view of our nation being a place where any American can voice their opinion. This is not a nation where just anyone, good or bad, can come here from far flung places and have a say in what our decisions are. First and foremost we are Americans and this is our nation! We care about the rest of the world. We send money in the form of tax dollars paid by our caring, loving citizens to places in the world where they need our help. But we own our country!! You of other countries have to take a back seat to people who were born American or are naturalized citizens of our nation. If you want our help please don't fly commercial airliners into our buildings and kill innocent citizens of our nation! We can accomplish peace through much more peaceful means! If you don't like these rules that I, as a lifelong American have set forth, then I want you to begin to have true love in your hearts for all people of the world including me and my family and others like us so that we can finally live together in harmony and share the world we all live upon. In God we trust!!!!!! JimPianoGuy

I view the USA like any other soverign nation, if you aspire to that statement, then do you support the USA interventions into other countries? How about Allenende in Chile? Why was he picked off..... I could go on |

Ok fair enough. I respect all opinions. I'm not sure how you can say we are isolationist when we have trade dealings every day of the year with many nations. There are weak willed nations in this world that do not like the US and they are jealous of our power in the world. We do more to help the world than any other nation. If the weak nations do not like that then we should stop doing that and just bring the troops home. Then they would really have something to cry and whine about. We are the big dog in the yard and we will stay that way, thank God.

I don't care about percentages. We give more money to help struggling nations than any other country. That attitude of "the USA is dead last in terms of percentage of GDP" is typical of the ungrateful attitude the rest of the world has toward our great nation and all the help we give every year, year after year.

Oh good grief truebrit! I'm beginning to see why you like this new site. You can get a free obfuscation pass here for nothing. Or are you just counting on the rest of us to be really naive? "as a percentage of GDP"??? The US produces almost half of the entire world's GDP! Of course our 'percentage of GDP' in foreign assistance would be small. In real dollars it's a wholly different story. There has never been a country as generous as ours, nothing like it. But surely you already knew that didn't you? I'm really sorry that you don't like the US truebrit; although I gather that you live here. Perhaps a visit to the land of your dreams to see the burial place of Karl Marx would cheer you up. |

OLDTEX!!!!!! Yeah baby! Thats the way buddy! I didn't think of adding that statistical info. I just say what I think and try to be right at least 75% of the time. Thanks for backin' me up on that one guy!! We do have a great nation. That is the truth and it doesn't need trubrit to believe it to make it so. There are simpering weak willed people all over the world that would tear the USA down rather than try to build themselves up. By the way the war in Iraq was not unilateral. Thats a liberal lie. There were other nations that were there with us including the UK, Thank You Tony Blair!!!!!!!!

Do you truly think that the US government is out to help the world?
I don't see it. If we (the US) "care about the rest of the world" and not just our own interests, why do we go around bombing people...why do we have the most WMD in the world? Indeed, "we can accomplish peace through much more peaceful means," as that is the only means to truly reach peace... "There is no way to peace, peace is the way."--attributed to AJ Muste |

Pearl, The idea is peace thru strength. Anyone who thinks if we lay down our guns Al Quiada will leave us alone is dreaming. They are fanatical murdering hate mongers as are all terrorists no matter where they come from. Peace thru Strength is the only way to deal with these people.
