It is run primarily by Americans, yes, so we follow American laws. But of course, we have users from all over the world, so we often find ourselves explaining the concept of hate speech since many users are from countries where it is legally forbidden.

Who is in that category? I haven't seen any post state anything remotely like that.

And, you realize of course, that hate speech varies greatly because the definition is quite subjective depending on what country you are in. In this forum, we only delete the strongest sorts of "hate speech" that call for violence against particular groups. We also look at flame bait, but often err on the side of free speech since we think the free exchange of ideas is more valuable than a heavily moderated forum.
