I have noticed a tendency amongst those who criticize the muslim bashers to be strangely negligent on holding Islam to account for its treatment of gays/lesbians, its intolerance of other faiths, and its abuses of women.

I find that curiously retarded.

I find inaccurate generalizations of large numbers of people, be they 'muslims bashers' or 'those who criticize muslim bashers' to have a 'tendency' to be 'negligent on holding Islam to account for its treatment of gays/lesbians, it's intolerance of other faiths and its abuses of women', to be curiously 'retarded'.

Speaking of my own experience, I can't think of too many supporters of Islam in any regard on this forum, except for Makedde and myself and the few posters who are identified Muslims.

It's unpopular to NOT bash Muslims. Next to illegal Mexican immigrants they are a group that convenient for some Americans get to scapegoat in America. JMO of course.

The difference between you and Makedde is this: you point out when muslims on the forum make hateful, intolerant statements, and challenge them. Makedde never does.

It's those statements and those actions within Islamic countries that bother me, not the religion itself.
