If what you say is true, then why have distircts that are Democrat been on the decline in the matter of living standards, ie. employment, safety,education, health and the like?
Do not misinterpret what I am saying because I am not for any party and I mean any. While some might say that the Old Republican Party freed slaves, they still allowed segregation, lynching, etc. Also, when LBJ manuvuered and had the Civil Rights Bill of 1964 passed by the US Congress, The Dixiecrats (most) went to the GOP. As far as I am concerned, there is no party that is for Black people nor anything that will truly benefit improvement of the living conditions of Black people in this country which is one of the reasons I do not look to politics nor politicians as problem solvers. They are a problem themselves. If we Black people would abandon the political process altogether until we build ourvelves up, we would see a marked improvement just working with each other. Of course I am not talking about all of us, just those of us who are about obtaining some of this good Earth that we can call our own and utilize it to build for ourselves.

This describes both parties IMO. With the Democrats and Republicans allowing the MIC and the Corporate/Oligarchy to run amuck, noone stands a chance. Both parties use hatred via "wedge issues" to drive the people against themselves while they fill their pockets and drive the nation further into debt. Think about it.

And as far as the KKK goes, does the name Robert Carlyle Byrd mean anything to you??? Does it ring any bells??? Shall we look at his record??

And as far as voting against a black president the only way we will do that is if we disagree with his ideology. The black that holds that seat right now we disagree with all the way. hangover, there are many more states than just the north and south. Dems are for women??? That's why the GOP gave them the vote because they are aginst them??? And it was the GOP that passed the Civil Rights bill?? And as far as "Hispanics" go, IF they are legal, GREAT, but if they are illegal, get out of my country. That goes for ALL illegals, go back to where you came from and come in acording to law. And by God in heaven, if you should vote in one of our elections, guess what?? The Democrat party was the party of the Confederacy. It was the Democrat party that supported slavery and the Confederacy.

That's pitiful, Hangover. I realize you desperately want to believe something you've said is true but you know it isn't. How pathetic. Who is it that does not want poor kids eduated? It's not the Republicans who want to improve public schools, empower charter schools, and allow poor kids vouchers so they can go to school with righ Democrat kids.

Who is it that wants to force women to be single mothers and lead a life that meets libeals goals and provides misery.

If you want to stereotype the GOP as being rednecks, here's a conflicting stereotype: All rich people are republicans.

Of course that's not true and its just another stereotype but on average, republicans do have more money. (Can someone be wealthy and redneck at the same time, or is that an oxymoron?)

Just because the southeast has many of the most conservative states, does not mean that most republicans live there. The GOP is a huge party and they're very spread out across the USA.

I don't think they're really "for" those groups. There are two big factors that predict a person's success -- education and hard work. At both turns, the democrats encourage policies that undermine those factors for blacks and poor people. First, by making sure that the average black person thinks that success is out of his hands due to racism, you teach him that hard work is irrelevant, then the schools are so full of union teachers that a kid in a public school comes out illiterate and mathematically illiterate as well. So then he grows up with no actual skills, no way to get those skills and raised to think that his lack of success is due to anything other than the lack of skill. then he's trapped on welfare forever. It's actually how the goevernment broke the backs of the Native American tribes -- get them dependent on the government and make sure that they have no ability to provide for themselves. Honestly, I'm sure that you've heard of reservations for Native Americans, well, the ghetto is the Black Reservation, run exactly like the reservations of the 1800s. I'm sure those were meant to help as well.
