Default Canadian dollar now worth more than US dollar

We can live with the pound and euro being higher than the USD, but now this?

As of this post, 1 Canadian dollar = .85 USD

Just thought I'd let you guys know.

Default I'm not good at math

But this means items that cost $85 in the US cost $100 in Canada, right? So the US dollar is worth more...right?

Default ...

And just when I'm about to go visit the States...

The CAD has been rising anyway, it has also strengthened against the Euro.
And yeah, the USD is still stronger. I heard it used to be 0.50 USD to a CAD.

Does this mean I'll no longer get thrown in jail for including a Canadian quarter when I pay for something? That was getting old.
