Default Soldiers' Defense Lawyers

The defense lawyer for one of the soldiers who abused the Iraqi prisoners....is claiming he was "just following orders." And yet the lawyer says he doesn't have any names of anyone who supposedly gave the orders. This is all bs. These people were having waaaayy too much fun. Pictures aren't necessary in softening somebody up for interrogation. Not only are pictures unnessary.....the soldiers posing with them, smiling is not necessary....and the kinds of things done was NOT necessary. "Softening someone up" for interrogation can mean sleep deprivation. They were NOT told to do the kinds of things they chose to do. And if they were aware of the rules on treatment of pow's..(which they should have known).....they would have known these kinds of things are NOT allowed.

Then the smiling woman in the pictures,....her family says she was not properly trained, and was just in the wrong place at the wrong time! GEEZ. If that wasn't so sad, it would be downright funny. What a lame excuse. How much training does it require to know how to treat people....and how NOT to treat people? And excuse me....but this woman was having waaay too much fun to just have been "in the wrong place at the wrong time."

Lame excuses. They'd better come up with something better than these.

Even if they were, that excuse didn't exactly work like a charm for the Nazis, did it?

The fact is that the just following orders defense is invalid. She is going to come up with something better than that.
