Ahmadinejad says new wave of Palestinian attacks will destroy Israel

TEHRAN, Iran - Iran’s hard-line president called for Israel to be “wiped off the map” and said a new wave of Palestinian attacks will destroy the Jewish state, state-run media reported Wednesday.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad also denounced attempts to recognize Israel or normalize relations with it.

“There is no doubt that the new wave (of attacks) in Palestine will wipe off this stigma (Israel) from the face of the Islamic world,” Ahmadinejad told students Wednesday during a Tehran conference called “The World without Zionism.”

The palestinians will never be able to wipe Israel of the map. how are they supposed to do that???? By throwing stones at their bulldozers?? There have been very few suicide attacks against Israel the past few months. Despite what the left wings have said, this proves that Sharons hard line against the terrorists have actually worked..

I think I have to go with that Tony Blaire soundbyte here. If Iran continues with this kind of crap, people are going to start wanting something done about them. They have no right to destroy Israel or aid in its destruction. If they make a move, we are obligated to help our ally and defend them from Iran. I would say the same for if Pakistan threatened to destroy India- except for some reason we've declared that particular dictatorship to be a major ally in the war on terror.
In any light, it's too bad we're tied up in Iraq and Afghanistan. We need to hurry that up.
