will the left support her? This gives Guiliani a good case for 2008. He is the best candidate repubs have for 2008 but he supports abortion. Hillary's support for Iraq shows that a candidate can be split on the issues. Repubs and conserves have to ask themselves, "Who would they rather have? a pro-abortion repub or a pro-abortion dem? |

Interesting, so how exactly did he win two elections? And how about those polls that wanted him to stay in office to handle the 9/11 disaster instead of electing a new mayor?

Hillary is a cunning politician. That's what makes her so scary. Supporting the war in Iraq is rather brilliant from a purely political strategy angle. Truth is, no one in her camp is going to go far in blasting her views other than a few courtesy rebuffs. Everyone knows the war will continue for a long time. We also know it would be even worse to pull out right now. So, taking this stance is a very calculated move with sharp hidden motives. She is proving to be a master of bold moves in a relatively low key manner. Her handling of Bill as the First Lady, election in NY and obvious but tempered move for the White House may one day go down as the blitzkrieg to rival Hitler's SS; people will be shocked and make a big deal of the first woman president in our country. I don't want it to be her, but there's no doubt she has the greatest potential of any woman in history up to now.
Go McCain! One more thought. No candidate will have the media's protection and "read-between-the-lines" support like Hillary has. I believe the Democratic nomination is hers to lose. |
