WARNING! PLOT SPOILER!!!

I gather that you haven't read "Da Vinci Code." I have. I could go on for pages criticizing his writing style, but he doesn't claim what you say he does.

The entire plot, in fact, revolves around the identity of Jesus' descendants. The main heresy in the book is the assertion that Mary Magdalene was Jesus' wife and the mother of his children.

Default actually

I read it years ago and liked it quite a bit, but he did say that Constantine invented it. Actually my comment was too broad, more specific would be that he invented Jesus' divinity which is the same thing since he wouldn't have been worshiped as a God if he weren't divine. So the discovery of the church would debunk that contention. Here is the link confirming that he stated that Constantine invented the divinity of Christ.

http://www.religionfacts.com/christi...vinci_code.htm

But there were others on this board who not only believed that but that Jesus didn't even exist as a person.

Default .

I made the point in a previous post that it can't be proved that Jesus existed and even less proof exists to prove that he was divine (if he did exist).

If Jesus did exist, His life didn't have a large effect on the historical record of the time.

Default And I'm looking forward to the movie

good cast and a good director, Ron Howard should be able to do for this what he did for "Beautiful Mind."

So long as he doesn't do for it what he did for "Grinch" and "Cat in the Hat." Talk about mean-spirited brain fluff.

As an aspiring writer, I was frankly appalled that a writer as bad as Brown published a runaway bestseller. But I give him credit for pulling you through the story with various brain puzzles, and hyping himself well.

Default I thought Al Gore created Christianity...

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

David Icke is the only guy I know to claim Jesus never existed. He also claims that Clinton and Bush are really alien lizard people. Rikitz ain't got nothin' on this guy. I love it!
