My family and I discuss politics around the dinner table very frequently. Apathy is a problem, but the solution is to start caring instead of giving up.

I work for a global corporation. They have made the entire world a much better place by the service they offer and the # of people they employ. They treat each employee with the respect and recognition they deserve. They take care of each and every employee very well through compensation & benefits as well. The world would less without this company. I am sure this company has affected every one of your lives. This company is very politically active. They contribute money to candidates that will affect policies and legislation that will be favorable to what we do. This is neither illegal nor immoral. It is capitalism. It is a good thing not a bad thing. This country and the entire world would be much worse off without it.

You can talk till your blue in the face about how it is bad and can be perverted(which it can), but capitalism as a whole is the only economic model that is fair to every citizen of the world. There are going to be Enrons and other such abuses of this system, but that does not make the system bad. Any form of government or economic model can be perverted and manipulated by bad people. The reasons you people give that are supposed to make capitalism out to a bad thing are actually the exact reasons why it is the only good economic form. We elect our officials(we really do have complete power in doing so). If there is an elected official who is corrupt or doing something wrong, we can vote him out of office. It is simple and most people in this country understand it.

The thing I am tired of is you people(minority of the population) who tell me I am stupid because I voted for Bush and because I listen to talk radio and that is what blindly forms my political actions. F$%&^ each and every one of you. you are the morons, not me. You people are to selfish, young, uneducated and blind to have a clue about what is actually happening in the world. You are the ones who are being led around blindly by people who lie and spread disinformation. I started out in the company that work for making $7.00 an hour at the bottom of the food chain. I worked my butt off for a low wage to prove myself and show what I am capable of. I used my head(even though I do not have college degree, which is actually required for the position I hold) as well as my hands to make it to the position I currently hold(there are only 11 other people across the US that hold the same position I do). So tell me again that I am stupid and clueless! I have never once, compromised my morals(which are obviously a hell of lot better than most of yours) for the company I work for. It is against our companies policy to do so and is stressed daily that the integrity of this company is second to none. You might want to look at your self and the principles you have before you start telling other people that they are idiots.

And for the record, most of the people in the US are religious and moral people. That is the reason why Bush was re-elected and the Dems keep losing elections. They are not stupid, they see that the dems lie, cheat and steal to get elected. They see that the dem party is morally bankrupt and that they want to make the rest of the country that way as well. There is corruption in both parties, but the principles of the repub party are what will keep this country the greatest nation on earth. The repubs are not the ones dividing this country with lies and disinformation. If you people used a little common sense you might be more aligned with conservatives than you think. You might actually see that we want good and that there are sometimes harsh realities in life that require extraordinary measures. Life is not all puppy dogs and roses. I am the first person to look to end conflict in a peaceful manner, but I also am the first one to take action when necessary(because force is sometimes necessary).

I would suggest that you only throw out insults when you actually have a leg to stand on. Because if you don't, you are the one who is exposed as the dunce that you really are!
