Default Top Five Al-Qaeda Leader Killed

Now, I don't know the details about our fight against Al-Qaeda, and I had not even heard this man's name until now. That being said, could this event be an indicator of where Osama bin Laden, the financial leader and hated symbol of international terrorism, might be hiding? Here is the story:

A man described as al-Qaida's operational commander has died in an explosion in Pakistan's lawless tribal areas, the president said Saturday, with intelligence officials claiming Hamza Rabia was hunted down with U.S. help, then killed in a rocket attack.

The remains of Rabia, who was ranked between third and fifth in the terror network's hierarchy and was a key associate of al-Qaida No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahri, were identified with a DNA test, Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.

Default He was #3

"Rabia, in his 30s, took over the number three spot, behind bin Laden and his Egyptian deputy Ayman al-Zawahri, after the capture of Abu Faraj Farj al Liby in Pakistan in May, U.S. and Pakistani security officials said.

Rabia was involved in plots to attack the United States and his death was a serious blow for al Qaeda, according to a U.S. counterterrorism official in Washington.

"After Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahri, Rabia was the most senior al Qaeda official for international terrorism planning," the official told Reuters."

"Rabia's death was reported a month after a suspected al Qaeda militant was killed and another was captured in the southwestern city of Quetta."

What it says to me is that no matter wherever bin Laden and Zawahiri are......they've gotta be feeling us breathing down their necks.

Default .

I have a feeling that Osama bin Laden is in Pakistan, near the Afghan border. If he were still in Afghanistan, we would probably have killed or captured him by now.

Well, that is exactly where this guy was killed. And I agree. I also believe bin Laden is paying some people off for some heavy protection. Although many are probably so "into the cause" they don't require being paid.

He's either going to be found by mere accident......or more likely, someone will eventually turn him in to collect the reward.
