F100 will, however, dispute your implication that he's a liberal. On many things he's farther right than a lot of folks on this board.

LOL. Yeah, right, Barn. You can't see that there is no 'case for conservatism' at this point in our history. So-called 'conservatism' (AKA 'neo/fascism') is so morally and ethically bankrupt at this point that nothing is going to help. Your party is going down in the next elections and going down hard.

Kappa Delta Pi? A little pretentious don’t you think? Anyway, your buddy, f100supersabr, wrote some pretty nasty things about Ann Coulter and I have seen the intense hatred on the faces of Liberals when her name is even mentioned. Also, Liberal students have thrown pies at her during other speeches, so it shouldn’t seem like a stretch to believe that these types of people would physically hurt her, given the opportunity.

I'm sorry, was he there? Did you even read reports on what happened there? You are greatly exagerating what happened and then toning down things A.C. has said that would inspire such actions.

And I'm sorry if you're offended by my accomplishments.

People like Noam Chomsky, who is further left than Coulter is right, are allowed to speak at universities and are seen as heroes. I wouldn't waste my time listening to either one, but I also wouldn't lower myself to such immature tactics.

I'll go one further, raytri. No doubt there were people there who came to hear her speak (whether or not they like her). They have a right to hear her. Carrying signs outside the auditorium is certainly acceptable though.

Agreed.

I'll also add that such behavior is nothing new on college campuses. Not because colleges are liberal or conservative, but because students are young. Speakers were shouted down in the 60s; they were shouted down when I was in college in the late 80s; they're shouted down now.

That does not excuse the behavior. When it happened to Bush the elder at my campus, I wrote an op-ed for the student paper condemning it. But this is hardly a new phenomenon.

People who say or believe this haven't taken the few minutes to examine which seats are up for election.

The Democratic Football Team
The democrats are not going to take everything back in one fell swoop. In football terms, they're in a "transition period" coming off a good run. The performance of some of their older, big name veterans seems to be hurting the team, the game is different than it once was. They need to develop some new talent and select a coaching staff that will take them in the right direction to compete. They may win a few games here and there, but we're talking many years before they're able to dominate the field again.

The Republican Football Team
The republicans have been dominating as of late. A sign of a good team is that even in those really close, important games -- where you were on top but manage to commit a few errors and let the other side back in -- you can still squeak by with a "W." Unfortunately, with success comes big egos and the type of player that thinks they're above everything -- they start to snub their fans, and suddenly the game become less about the team and more about the individual, winning loses its glamor and becomes secondary to increasing your own stats. No matter how good they are, eventually those guys get kicked to the curb (something T.O. can tell you about).
