Because she's pissing off the left and standing by her conservative values by refusing to back down. Because she's intelligent, and that chaps your ass to no end. Because she won't STFU, despite being ridiculed and having her character constantly attacked with attempted assassinations by the news media even here at home.

And on a more personal note, because despite all of the adulation and anger that she's causing down States, up here she's still a local gal, and people talk about her up here like she's a local gal. Her "star" appears to be shining everywhere else but up here. I guess her time spent as our governor killed a lot of that novelty for some of us.
