Applause Post of the Month-UPDATE
The Mods and Advisors have made some changes to the nomination process for the Applause Post of the Month. They are as follows:
1) There will now be a winning post announced on a monthly basis, instead of a weekly basis. Next winning post will be announced here in a Sticky at the top of the Current Events Section on or about April 1st.
2) Member posters are now allowed to make ONE nomination per contest. You may even nominate your own post!
3) For now and until we come up with a better plan, you can make your nomination via a PM to me (JP5) or any other Mod or Advisor of your choosing. Please include the Link to the post and a short list of reasons why you believe the post deserves to win. Remember this is about the post; not the poster necessarily. The Mod or Advisor will forward it to the Staff section for discussion and eventual vote.
4) Starting now, you may make your one nomination for the March 1st contest up until February 21st. That will be the cut-off date so that Mods and Advisors who will all be voting can spend a week discussing and voting on the winning post.
**Note--We will be continuing to tweak the process when issues come up, so check back here to see any updates.
Thanks---and have fun discussing and debating politics!! JP5
